I saw one of these in Milwaukee last month. Of coarse it was being driven by a guy in his late 50's. It was park next to a 335i on some nice wide BBS wheels, and I thiiink it was the Beetle owners daughter, or girlfriend. ha

Yup pretty cool. If It was my money I'd end up buying a GTI, but the Beetle would be tempting.

I have to say I really like the new Beetles. They look great on the road, and it's one of the better modern retro designs out there. But I still think you'd be better off in a OG Beetle that you can customize and make your own.

You fulfill my VAG need quite nicely!
Also, I think my mother is close to getting a Passat, instead of a minivan!

Tell her there's more room in the Passat and it drives 1000x better. Both of which are completely true statements!

I told her exactly that! Also, fuel economy (Not much from the 5 cilinder (No, we didnt get the 1.8 Turbo)), and just the fact that you gave up in life by getting a minivan. Yes, I told my mother that.
Still, she wants either the Passat or Mazda 6! Which I am liking a lot.

Why no 1.8T?

I literally have no idea. I guess its because the 5 pot has gotten such a good reputation here. I kid you not, the poeple here respect the damn thing. But the noise and the character is something special. To me at least.
